Parents Contribute to School Success!

The family is the child's first teacher.  Good behavior habits and positive attitudes towards school being at home.  Parents can contribute to their child's success in school by:

  • Assuring prompt and regular attendance and complying with attendance rules and procedures.

  • Talking with your child daily about school activities and showing an active interest in their assignments.

  • Provide a regular time and place for homework assignments.

  • Teaching the child about respect for the law, those in authority, the rights of others, and for private and public property.

  • Reinforce the positive character traits - Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Contribution, Cooperation, Integrity, Perseverance, Courage, Caring.

Parent Newsletter

Each quarter the Quileute Tribal School publishes and mails a special newsletter with classroom contributions.  Please watch for it and let us know if you are not receiving it.

Quileute Tribal School Volunteers

Parents and community volunteers are always welcomed by our staff.  General duties of volunteers include helping teachers and working with individual students. Contact Frank Hanson at 374-5700 if you would like to volunteer. An application needs to be on file, and you will be subject to a background check.  This procedure helps us to assure the safety of each and every one of our students.
